RATES OF PAY

The three main union rate agreements are: The FAA/PACT Agreement, The BBC Equity Agreement and ITV Equity Agreement.
Rates of pay may vary if filming outside of South East/London area. The rate of pay offered by the production will always be sent out with the availabilty check by Square Gorilla Casting.

FAA/PACT DAY RATE
Based upon a 9 hour stipulated period inc meal break, between 7am and 10pm (before 7am nighttime overtime will apply. After 10pm Nighttime overtime will apply- Unless called as a nightshoot)

Shift Call
Based on any four continuous hours taking place between 6am and 11pm. After four hours, 15 minute overtime. After that a double shift call is payable, so this rate is only advised if you know it will be less than four hours.

Travel Allowance
Calls within TFL Zones 1 – 3
Calls at Elstree, Pinewood, Shepperton, Long Cross, Twickenham, Leavesden and any base/location from TFL Zone 4 and within a 40 mile radius of Charing Cross
In addition to the above travel.Calls at or before 06.00am (7am on Sundays & Bank Holidays)

BBC SUPPORTING ARTISTE/WALK-ON RATES
Hours of work are 8 hours out of 9 hours a day (9 and 30 minutes on location, if travel time is
being paid). Night work is work scheduled either to extend beyond midnight or to begin between 10pm and 7am. Daywork which extends unforeseen into work after 12.15am will be paid at night overtime.
Supporting Artist
The Supporting Artiste is not required to give individual characterisation in a role or speak dialogue other than crowd noise or reaction.

Repeat Fees
Walk-on Artist only = 100 per cent of recording fee per repeat transmission on UK terrestrial television. 50% if repeated within one week of transmission. This applies to repeats of serials/series.

Walk-on 1
Walk-on 1 is not required to give individual characterisation nor to speak any word or line of dialogue. Crowd noises shall not be deemed to be dialogue in this context. Night rates are one and a half times the day rates.

ITV Repeat Fees
Repeat fees are based upon day of attendance fees, but adjusted if shown off-peak or on part of the network only. Walk-Ons 2 and 3 are entitled to repeats whenever the programme is re-shown on ITV or Channel 4. Walk-Ons 1 are entitled to repeat payments when the programme is shown more than five years after the first transmission.
ITV Night Rates
Payment for night work is 1.5 times the correct day rate. If recording/rehearsal is scheduled to start before 7.00am or after midnight the entire work period attracts night rate. If work extends beyond midnight (but not scheduled) night rate applies after midnight only. On calls before 7.00am to travel to work/rehearsal, night rate is paid for the hours before 7.00am only.
